To be successful in this role you must be a 1st class Tradesperson and have a demonstrated high level of skills in Boilermaking & Mig Welding . Your ability to read and understand drawings is essential, as is your expertise in all Mig positional welding.

Chief Estimator - Kingsford SA
In this newly created role reporting to the Construction Director, you will manage the complete tender process, particularly for large scale and/or complex Design and Construct, Mining and Materials Handling projects, from review of request for quotation to final tender submission.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to assess the project scope, likely value, risks and competition
- Prepare budget pricing and work programs
- Identify our point of difference/competitive advantage and develop a strategy to win the tender
- Analyse D&C options to determine the most economic alternative for Ahrens and best value-for-money solution for the client
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure accurate estimating of costs and preliminaries
- Identify and include risk mitigation strategies
- Work with the client to negotiate contracts that are fair to all parties
- Degree or professionally qualified in a relevant area i.e. Construction Management
- Extensive estimating/tender experience on large scale construction projects(e.g. $100M+)
- Strong contract management/commercial background
- Highly developed negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyse complex situations from multiple perspectives and deliver pragmatic and commercially sound solutions
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Construction Foreman - Kingsford SA
Our D&C SA Division requires a hands-on person to assist the Erection Supervisor with the coordination of site crew. Essential components of this role include the marking out and placement of footing bolts on site and having the ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings, mark plans and architectural drawings.
To be successful in this role you will have at least 5 years experience as a Foreman, be well organised and self driven, with a demonstrated ability to lead by example and motivate a small team. You must have experience in the construction of new structures and extensions on existing structures. Applicants who hold a trade certificate will be considered favourably.

Group Construction Safety Manager - Kingsford SA
We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to provide advice to our Mining and Construction Divisions throughout Australia, in line with our company's strategic goals and business growth.
This newly created full-time position is based at our head office at Kingsford, near Gawler. Reporting to the Construction Director your primary responsibility will be to implement best practice in safety on a national basis and to provide and foster a safety culture, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have formal HSE qualifications or the equivalent, and a minimum five years experience and extensive skills in delivering such services to mining/construction sectors.
This role involves working closely with the HSQE Manager to ensure a coordinated approach throughout the Ahrens Group. Interstate travel will be required to our various divisional locations to achieve relevant project requirements and to assist with meeting programmed outcomes in HSE for these projects.

Site Foreman/Safety Officer - South Australia
We are seeking the services of a suitably qualified Site Foreman/Safety Officer with Mining Infrastructure experience. This new role involves providing support to the Site Supervisor with regard to Occupational Health and Safety.
You will be responsible for monitoring the safety standards and regulations of the Mine Site and will help coordinate employees and sub-contractors on site. The role will also involve conducting site inductions and safety audits. Essential criteria for this role include having a trade background, current Senior First Aid Certificate, White Card and unrestricted Drivers Licence.
