This project included the design and construction of a 2,500-tonne grain storage and a 30 tonne per hour steam-flaking plant. It consisted of dual grain paths with elevated milling with two 20” x 36” mills and no downstream mechanicals, which was constructed above a concrete roof on the commodity shed.
To ensure the current mill maintained production at all times, we carefully designed and constructed this steam-flaking plant and bulk grain storage facility around the existing plant, equipment and operations. This meant the project was completed in two stages over
37 weeks – stage one was completed in 2006 and stage two in 2007.
The client was especially impressed with the reliability and increased productivity of the new plant.
